As former Press Secretary for the Office of the Texas Attorney General, I produced professional writing and editing for scripts, talking points, press releases, web content, newsletters, editorials, and social media; I regularly coordinated press materials and timelines for participating States regarding nationwide lawsuits involving consumer protection, opioid abuse prevention, election integrity, human trafficking, regulatory action, Supreme Court cases, legislation, policy, and more; worked day-to-day media cycles regarding news content creation, responses to media inquiries, and general media-relations with state, national, and international publications and broadcasters on 24/7 availability.
In addition to what is listed above, I have worked on teams for commercial advertising research for the Dwyer Group's 'Women in the Trades' program, creating a PR plan for Caritas (local Waco nonprofit). Bound booklets from these projects are available upon request.
I enjoyed being a travel blogger and photographer for Millennium Tours from January 2015-April 2015 while completing a study-abroad semester based in Maastricht, Netherlands.
I served as secretary for Baylor University's Young Conservatives of Texas from September 2012- January 2014.
And I supported myself while attending Baylor University by working as head bartender and server at Saltgrass Steakhouse in Waco while earning my BA in Journalism and New Media, completing full-time hours at both the workplace and university and graduating with a 3.6 GPA.
Furthermore, I was a volunteer at the DFW Labrador Retriever Rescue from 2010-2014 where I focused on animal behavior studies and socialized/trained traumatized rescue dogs prior to their adoption.
